Brighton · Sydney

Layers of planting.
A softer arrival.

At this duplex, the change in level became an opportunity to create a layered front garden.

Epic’s planting design pairs tiered white edging with contrasting foliage and cascading planting. The white edges echo the architecture, while the planting brings texture and softness to the street frontage.

From the street to the courtyard.

Warm lighting brings depth to the garden and makes coming home after dark feel inviting.
A view from the living room to delicate pink plum blossom in the Brighton courtyard
Plum blossom brings seasonal colour and a quiet moment of beauty into everyday views from the living room.
Living room opening to outdoor dining, a pool and lush bamboo along the rear fence at Brighton
Bamboo softens the boundary, creating a leafy backdrop for relaxed outdoor dining and time by the pool.

The planting plan

Working with the level change.

Three tiers of edging give the front garden structure and create space to display different planting heights and textures.

Contrasting foliage and cascading plants bring depth to the planting and soften the white edges.
